Development – Life Skills

Development –
Life Skills

Hands-on learning that builds confidence with the tasks and decisions of everyday life.

Life skills are most useful when they are connected to your own goals and practised in the real situations where you will use them. We work alongside you to break everyday tasks into manageable steps, explain information clearly and use an approach that matches the way you learn best. The emphasis is on building practical capability rather than simply completing tasks on your behalf.

Support may include cooking, shopping, budgeting, travel planning, communication, managing appointments, household routines and everyday decision-making. Skills can be introduced gradually, practised repeatedly and reviewed over time, giving you opportunities to build confidence, take on more responsibility and develop routines that support greater independence in daily life.
