Assist – Personal Activities

Assist –
Personal Activities

Respectful personal support that protects privacy, follows your routines and supports everyday wellbeing.

Personal activities are supported in a respectful and individualised way, with careful attention to your dignity, privacy, safety, communication needs and established daily routines. We take time to understand how you prefer assistance to be provided and which parts of your routine you would like to complete independently, helping ensure your support feels comfortable, predictable and centred around your choices.

Depending on your assessed needs and agreed support arrangement, assistance may include showering, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating and drinking, mobility, transfers and other personal routines. We agree how assistance will be provided before support begins and continue to review the arrangement with you, allowing the level and approach to support to change when your abilities, circumstances, goals or personal preferences change.
